Provider
A provider in Flomenco is an external system or service integrated into your media workflow for automation. Integration is established through a connection, allowing seamless interaction with SaaS platforms, media systems, cloud storage solutions, or authentication services. By adding a provider, you enable smooth collaboration and efficient automation within your workflows.
Credential
Credentials in Flomenco are the authentication details required to connect with Providers. These may include API keys, tokens, or user IDs and passwords. Credentials are essential for securely integrating external tools and systems into your workflow.
Flomenco supports multiple credentials for the same Provider, offering flexibility in accessing resources across accounts or with varying permissions. For example, you can add multiple credentials for Google to manage workflows across different Google accounts or to use restricted credentials for specific tasks.
Workflow
A workflow in Flomenco is a series of automated steps that streamline your processes. Workflows are created using Flomenco’s visual, drag-and-drop Canvas, where nodes are arranged to define actions, triggers, and data processing.
Node
Nodes are the building blocks of Flomenco workflows. Each node represents an action, trigger, or operation and can be configured to perform specific tasks or integrate with applications.
Trigger Nodes
Trigger nodes initiate workflows based on defined conditions or events. Flomenco provides various trigger options:
- Manual Trigger: Starts workflows manually, offering control during development and testing. Note that complex workflows may impact application performance when executed manually.
- Schedule Trigger: Automates workflows on a specific schedule.
- Webhook Trigger: Starts workflows based on incoming HTTP/S requests, enabling event-driven automations.
Provider-specific triggers are also available and are detailed in the Nodes section.
